Inconel 616

Inconel 616 is a precipitation hardened nickel-based alloy that has extremely high yield, tensile and creep-rupture properties at temperatures up to 1300°F (704°C). The age-hardening response of Inconel 616 allows for annealing and welding without spontaneous hardening during heating and cooling. Nickel Alloy 616 has excellent weldability compared to nickel-based high-temperature alloys that are hardened by aluminum and titanium.

Inconel 616 Product Advantages

Inconel 616 metal is often used in harsh environments where the success of the part or component requires extremely high heat and corrosion resistance. Inconel 616 has the following advantages:

1.High yield strength

2.Excellent high temperature tensile and creep-rupture properties

3.Excellent weldability

4.Won't spontaneously harden

5.Excellent corrosion resistance

Inconel 616 Applications

Nickel Alloy Inconel 616 has many different industrial applications, some of which include:

1.Jet engine components

2.Gas turbines

3.Aerospace

4.Plastic injection molding tools

5.High-speed airframe parts

6.High-temperature bolts and fasteners
